UNMC is currently accepting pre-proposals to nominate a single faculty member to submit a full application for the Pew Biomedical Scholars Program.
The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences provides up to $300,000 in funding ($75,000 per year for a four-year period) to young investigators of outstanding promise in science relevant to the advancement of human health. The program makes grants to selected academic institutions to support the independent research of outstanding individuals who are in their first few years of their appointment at the assistant professor level.

- Monday, May 13th — Pre-proposals Due, Reviewed by Internal Committee
- Friday, May 17th — UNMC Nominee Selected and Notified
- June 10th — Nominated candidate receives full submission guide; begin working on application
- September 5th — Full Application Due to Pew
