E-Learning showcase will highlight innovation

The next Innovators in Education E-Learning Showcase will be held April 9 in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center. The event, which runs from noon-2 p.m., is open to all UNMC faculty, staff and students.

RSVP to attend the showcase.

The showcase will highlight the most recent projects funded through the UNMC Office of Academic Affairs and feature 13 teams, with individuals from all six colleges, UNMC Graduate Studies, the Munroe-Meyer Institute and from four campuses.

During the showcase, attendees are invited to meet the faculty, resident, fellow and student developers, and see live demonstrations of the projects. Unlike previous showcases, all projects will be demonstrated during the same block of time, allowing attendees to interact with all the modules in just one hour.

“We are thrilled to spotlight our talented innovators in person once again as we reach new milestones within the program,” said Peggy Moore, director of UNMC Interactive E-Learning and assistant professor in UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. “For the first time, we had a faculty project director from Scottsbluff, and teams took interactive elements to new levels by using student-created animation or 360 tours. Plus, some of the modules address topics being discussed at the national level.”

The schedule for the showcase is:

  • 12-1 p.m. – Demonstrations of e-learning projects (all projects)
  • 1-2 p.m. – Recognition ceremony and keynote presentation, “Evolving Education: Insights from Four-Time Module Developers” by faculty member Steve Sansom, PhD, professor in the UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology, and fourth-year medical students David Kasper and Grant Ozaki

RSVP to attend the showcase on April 9.
