‘Soup On’ with turkey and black bean chili today

The final installment in UNMC’s latest “Keep Calm and Soup On” series is today (Feb. 23) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The virtual cooking demonstration on turkey and black bean chili will be held via Zoom for the UNMC community. The presentation will include nutritional information and a live question-and-answer session.

The session hosts are Steven Wengel, MD, assistant vice chancellor for wellness at UNMC, and Metropolitan Community College’s Brian O’Malley, associate dean for culinary, hospitality and horticulture.

The event is a joint effort of UNMC Human Resources, UNMC’s wellness program and medical nutrition staff and Metropolitan Community College’s Institute for the Culinary Arts’ Open Kitchen.
