UNMC Human Resources will host an Employee Appreciation Day for the Omaha campus March 1. This event, sponsored by the Chancellor’s Office, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This event coincides with National Employee Appreciation Day, which was started in 1995 to celebrate employees and all that they contribute to an organization.
With a multiple-location event at the Omaha campus, UNMC will be celebrating all employees for their contributions to UNMC’s mission and values. With more than one location, employees will have increased access to the events and have opportunities to experience different types of appreciation.
Three simultaneous events will be available at three different campus locations with three different themes. There will be food, activities and prizes.
- Wellness at Durham Research Center
Durham Research Center will host a wellness themed appreciation that includes yoga, financial representatives, chair massages and meditation.
- Star search talent show at Eppley Science Hall
Eppley Science Hall will feature a talent show where the UNMC community can show off their talents. It will be live streamed to all offsite locations.
- Game time at Center for Healthy Living
The Center for Healthy Living will provide game time activities, such as corn hole, ladder ball, ping pong and minute-to-win-it competitions.
