Dr. Cramer named to adult congenital heart association board
The National Adult Congenital Heart Association announced its 2024 Board of Directors, which includes Jonathan Cramer, MD, an associate professor of internal medicine and pediatrics at UNMC. Dr. Cramer serves as the medical director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program for UNMC and Children’s Nebraska.
The National Adult Congenital Heart Association is a national patient advocacy group focused on education, advocacy, policy and patient-centered efforts for the adult congenital heart disease population.
In his role as medical director, Dr. Cramer has worked closely with the National Adult Congenital Heart Association to strategize and develop plans for better patient support within the Midwest. He will serve a three-year term and will help guide decision making and policy for the organization in business, policy and education. The board includes medical experts and industry leaders in congenital heart disease from around the country.
“The placement of Dr. Cramer on the ACHA board drives our program forward by raising its profile on a national stage,” said Jeffrey Delaney, MD, Theodore F. Hubbard Endowed Chair, Pediatric Cardiology, and chief of the UNMC Division of Pediatric Cardiology. “It is a direct result of the effort and expertise he has developed working with the ACHA for the benefit of his patients and our program.”
