Winter skin care is topic of Olson Center discussion

Olson Center for Women’s Health will address winter skin care conditions and treatments at a virtual discussion on Thursday, Jan. 18, from noon to 1 p.m.

Vanessa Voss, MD, assistant professor with the UNMC Department of Dermatology and a dermatologist with Nebraska Medicine, will present “Winter Skin Care” as part of the Olson Center Brown Bag lecture series.

Dr. Voss will provide an overview of the disorders of the skin that occur during winter and treatments that may provide relief. Common skin cancers that can mimic dry skin also will be described. Healthy skin recommendations for people of all ages through optimal skin care practices will be reviewed.
