Today’s retirement reception for two nursing leaders is cancelled

Today’s retirement reception for two longstanding faculty members and leaders in the UNMC College of Nursing has been cancelled due to weather. The event will be rescheduled for a later date.

Kathryn Fiandt, PhD, and Louise LaFramboise, PhD, are retiring from UNMC. Dr. Fiandt, PhD, is the Kenneth E. Morehead Endowed Chair in Nursing, a clinical professor and associate dean of transformational practice and partnership in the college. She started at UNMC in 1993 and later left for seven years before returning in 2014 as associate dean.

Dr. LaFramboise is an associate professor and assistant dean of the UNMC College of Nursing-Omaha Division. She joined the UNMC faculty in 1986. Together, Drs. Fiandt and LaFramboise have served the UNMC College of Nursing community for more than 60 years.

The reception was set for today (Jan. 8) from 4:30-6 p.m. CT on the Omaha campus in the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Events Center.
