Bridge to Care, a student-led interprofessional organization at UNMC focused on refugee health, will host its annual fall refugee health fair on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Omaha Benson High School, 5120 Maple St.
Students from all UNMC colleges will volunteer at the health fair alongside dozens of community vendors to provide health education, screenings and services. The free event is geared toward the refugee community, but all are welcome to attend.
Free health screenings and services will include:
- Flu vaccinations
- COVID-19 vaccinations to those who qualify
- Vital signs and blood sugar checks
- Mental health screenings
- STD/STI screenings
- Dental exams
- Vision and checks
- Hearing testing
- Other local resources
