OBGYN residents escaped to Barbie’s world

UNMC’s OBGYN residents went on a “Barbie” retreat recently. The OBGYN residents escaped to Barbie’s world, to experience a well-deserved pause from the pressures of the medical world.

“Resident wellness is of prime importance to us, and our overnight resident retreat has always been a wonderful opportunity for team-building and relaxation away from the hospital,” said program director Laura Cudzilo-Kelsey, MD.

For decades, the OBGYN residency program has consistency organized their annual retreats with the help of faculty members who ensured round-the-clock service coverage, enabling residents to partake in the retreat experience.

“I’m grateful to our chief residents and our program coordinator, Jessica Wilde, for their efforts in planning the retreat,” Dr. Cudzilo-Kelsey said.
