Thirteen individuals were welcomed into the Edward A. Holyoke, MD, PhD, Society in July, and a gathering for new members was held in August.
The society is dedicated to both the memory and vast contributions of Dr. Holyoke, a beloved professor, mentor and friend of the UNMC College of Medicine.
The society honors Dr. Holyoke’s dedication to medical education, as well as his vision, leadership and passion, during his 50 years at UNMC. The Holyoke Society is an exclusive cadre of the college’s most invested alumni and friends, who sharing the college’s vision and demonstrate their commitment through their leadership and support. There is an in-person gathering of the society set for March 2024.

The Holyoke Society recognizes physicians who provide support by making outright gifts totaling $100,000 or more or estate gifts of $200,000 or more benefiting the UNMC College of Medicine. Since the society was established, individual honorees have expanded opportunities for experiential education for students, supported the college’s faculty, advanced cutting-edge discovery and transformed the UNMC campus.
