UNMC medical students Katie Schultis of Diller, Nebraska, and Shaker Dukkipati of Longview, Texas, will serve as UNMC Student Senate president and vice president, respectively, for the 2023-24 school year.
Schultis is a fourth-year student in the UNMC College of Medicine. Dukkipati is in his final year of the MD-PhD program as a fourth-year medical student.
Schultis also will represent UNMC as a non-voting member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.
Other Student Senate officers for 2023-24 and their hometowns are:
- Jordan Knapp of Lincoln, a second-year student in the UNMC College of Public Health serving as chief of staff; and
- Skyler Maclean of Aspen, Colorado, a PharmD student in the UNMC College of Pharmacy serving as treasurer.
