How I fell in love with my specialty: As rheumatologists, we have the opportunity to help patients who are struggling with complicated and life-altering inflammatory conditions lead productive and happy lives, which can be very rewarding. Because rheumatic diseases often involve multiple different body systems, I also enjoy the process of putting together different pieces from the history, physical exam, and diagnostic testing to come up with a unifying diagnosis.
Three things people may not know about me:
- My favorite hobbies include gardening and hiking.
- I have a daughter and two dogs.
- My wife also is a physician (allergy/immunology).
