More than 900 guests toured the five selected gardens for the Munroe-Meyer Guild’s 54th Annual Garden Walk.
The walk, on June 11, was a perfect day for strolling, said Jennifer Read, vice president of the Munroe-Meyer Guild.
“The event was a great success and the positive comments and feedback have been overwhelming,” Read said. “We are so lucky year after year to have generous homeowners that open their beautiful, curated grounds for our tour visitors.”
The event brought in an estimated $25,000 to $30,000, according to an early tally.
Gardens in Candlewood, Pinetree, Rockbrook, Westridge and Loveland neighborhoods were open to the public for the event, which supports innovative programming and research at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
The guild has a history of using its fundraising to provide seed grant funding for successful MMI programs, including GoBabyGo! Nebraska, the Opportunity Brew Coffee Cart and the virtual reality Hand-Arm Bimanual Intensive Therapy (HABIT) Camp.
