The UNMC Office of Global Engagement has announced the winners of its second international photo contest.
Nine employees and 13 students or residents participated in the contest, for a total of 60 photos submitted.
The international photos were judged based on originality and creativity, photographic quality and communication of culture and place. This year, the contest had three categories for submissions: Cityscapes, landscapes and people/animals, with first-prize winners for each division.
“The submitted photos capture the essence of cultural exchange, inviting us to explore the world through the lenses of talented photographers on campus,” said Jane Meza, PhD, associate vice chancellor for global engagement. “The international photo contest is a reminder of the beauty and diversity that exists beyond our own borders.”
