The deadline is today for UNMC faculty to nominate individuals for this year’s UNMC Faculty Senate election.

The Faculty Senate is a group of faculty elected from each major academic unit with responsibilities defined by the bylaws of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. The senate serves as the governing body empowered to represent the UNMC faculty.

The official ballot to elect senators will be held May 1-15. Senators are elected to three-year terms, commencing on June 1 of the election year. The Faculty Senate holds regular meetings at 5 p.m. on the first working Tuesday of every month.
