The American Heart Association’s annual Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke walk will be held in-person on Saturday, May 20, at Miller’s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road.
The walk, in its 29th year, is the association’s premier event in the community. It celebrates heart and stroke survivors, promotes physical activity and heart-heathy living and raises funds for research, advocacy and CPR training.
Today, the American Heart Association will start its one-day, city-wide rally campaign to recruit 50 teams, 500 walkers and raise $20,000.
UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are sponsors of this event and have a combined goal to raise $20,000.
