In his latest “Health Care Heart to Heart” podcast, UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, speaks with Atul Grover, MD, PhD, AAMC’s executive director for the Research and Action Institute, about how the organization is working on long-term health care issues.
Dr. Grover describes his Association of American Medical College institute as a “think-and-do tank” that explores the trade-offs needed and hard decisions made when creating health care policies.
Drs. Grover and Gold’s wide-ranging discussion includes the real-life intricacies of health care; the importance of strategic planning as conditions change; and other challenges and opportunities facing the nation’s health care and health education system.
