One week remains for challenge donors to sign up for UNMC Giving Day — For the Greater Good, March 30-31.
UNMC and the University of Nebraska Foundation are seeking sponsors for the inaugural giving day event. Nearly $19,000 in challenge funds (and counting) have been committed thus far. Sponsors provide challenge funds of $250 or more to encourage others to give and help spread awareness for the campaign. To learn more about becoming a challenge sponsor, contact Janelle Domeyer by email or 402-504-3328. The deadline is March 17.
The giving day website, available at this link, also is open for gifts; anyone who makes a gift totaling $65 or more will receive a UNMC fleece blanket.
To honor UNMC’s founding in 1869, the philanthropic event will last for 1,869 minutes (about 31 hours). The event will start at 10 a.m. March 30 and conclude at 5 p.m. March 31. The goal is to receive 1,000 gifts from UNMC alumni, friends and grateful patients.
The giving day will advance UNMC by supporting scholarships, colleges, student organizations and UNMC’s clinical partners and institutions. Student groups have until March 17 to register to participate.
Nebraska Medicine, UNMC’s primary clinical partner, also is participating in the giving event.
Additional information about UNMC Giving Day, including options for giving and tracking the event’s progress, can be found at the giving day website.
