Talk about your job and what you like best about it:
As the educational programs administrator in the UNMC Department of Anesthesiology, I oversee and facilitate a wide variety of functions for the residency and fellowship programs. We currently have 58 house officers within our training programs. I enjoy that this role is constantly evolving and progressing, and it provides varying experiences daily. I have the privilege to work with incredibly intelligent, caring and hardworking house officers, faculty and staff. It is extremely fulfilling to see the house officers advance through their programs and graduate.
List three things people may not know about you:
- I love the pride and gratification that comes with restoring something back to its original grandeur. My husband and I own a house built in 1920, so there is never a lack of projects to work on. I strive to be like Nicole Curtis from the TV show “Rehab Addict.”
- My dad and I keep each other motivated to stay active by regularly participating in event challenges. In February, we completed the Trek Up the Tower Vertical Mile Challenge.
- I have recently picked up crocheting amigurumi.
