Volunteers needed for HOSA conference

In March, hundreds of high school students from across Nebraska will convene for the yearly Health Occupation Student Alliance State Leadership Conference and Competition that is being held at the Milo Bail Student Center on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus.

Volunteers are being recruited to serve as judges, timekeepers and event hosts. Most of these events require no specific background knowledge or training. Volunteers do not have to be in a clinical role to be qualified to judge these events.

HOSA is an extracurricular organization for middle and high school students who are interested in becoming future health professionals. Scheduled for Sunday, March 12, through Tuesday, March 14, students will participate in more than 50 competitive events, including math, forensic science, nursing assisting and public speaking.

Sign up here to indicate availability, and a member of the HOSA team will reach out with additional information and details on the event. The competitive events will take place in person March 13 and 14. With questions, email Mackenzie Maloley.
