Love data? Let’s talk
The McGoogan Health Sciences Library is co-hosting an event to coincide with Love Data Week, which runs from February 13 through 17.
The library’s Love Data Week Open Mic event will be held on Feb. 14 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The session will start with flash talks about the FAIR (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable) Data Principles. Then the floor will be open to hear from audience members on their love of data, including how they collect, clean, analyze, preserve or share their data.
Faculty, staff and students from all University of Nebraska campuses are invited to join via Zoom. Registration is required. A recording will be made available for those who cannot attend the session.
This event is hosted by the University of Nebraska Consortium of Libraries Research Data Services group.
NASA Nebraska EPSCoR research mini-grant available
Proposals are due Feb. 28 by 5 p.m. CT for NASA Nebraska Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) research mini-grants.
The program’s goals are to elevate the aerospace-related research being conducted in Nebraska for future infrastructure building and workforce development opportunities and to help lead to future proposals to NASA or other federal, state or private organizations for funding. These Mini-Grants are different than the NASA Nebraska Space Grant Research Mini-Grant program.
Faculty and full-time research staff at all institutions of higher education in Nebraska are eligible for NASA EPSCoR research funds. It is expected that there will be five awards at the $17,000 funding level and three awards at the $6,000 funding level.
