How long is your training program and how long have you been at UNMC?
It’s a five-year program, and I am a PGY-2. I have been at UNMC since 2016 for my master’s degree prior to starting medical school.
What do you like the most about your training program?
Undoubtedly, the relationships. I’m incredibly lucky to work with my friends each and every day.
What challenges do you foresee in graduate medical education in the future?
Combating the increasing competitiveness of medical students applying to certain specialties.
List some accomplishments that you are proud of:
- Carrying the Otorhinolaryngologic “Rounding Sword” of Excellence
- Occasionally being proud of the lawn stripes after I mow
Tell us three things about you that others may not know:
- I’ve been on Sportscenter’s “Not Top 10.”
- My co-residents know that I love Sour Patch Kids, but my favorite candy of all time is Zours.
- I’m a new dog-dad to a golden retriever, Lucy!
