Kyle Meyer, PhD, dean of the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions and chair of the UNMC College of Nursing dean search committee, attended the Nov. 15 College of Nursing Town Hall to update the college on the search.
Search firm Spencer Stuart identified several highly qualified candidates.
The search process is currently on schedule.
Initial candidate interviews with the search committee were conducted via Zoom on Nov. 29, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2.
Planning is underway to host candidates on campus during January and early February. As plans are finalized, names, schedules, and dates will be communicated via UNMC Today and the College of Nursing.
UNMC College of Nursing Dean Juliann Sebastian, PhD, plans to retire in early 2023. She joined UNMC in October 2011 and oversees brick-and-mortar divisions across the state of Nebraska, with locations in Scottsbluff, Kearney, Norfolk, Lincoln and Omaha.
