On Friday, Dec. 9, the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine LGBTQ+ Employee Alliance, in partnership with the Inclusion and Diversity office at Nebraska Medicine and the Office of Inclusion at UNMC, will hold an in-person memorial to honor the victims of the recent Club Q nightclub shooting in Colorado Springs.
The memorial will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Wigton Heritage Center’s Dr. Leland J. and Dorothy H. Olson Atrium, 4th floor. The program will run from 12:10 to 12:30 p.m. with remarks from campus leaders and moments of reflection, allowing colleagues space to connect with and support each other.
This in-person only event is open to all students, faculty and staff of UNMC and Nebraska Medicine. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The event will not be streamed or recorded.
