This is the last day of Annual NuFlex Benefits Enrollment for the University of Nebraska faculty and staff. Enrollment began at Oct. 31 and will run through 5 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST), Friday, Nov. 18.
Items that need completed annually during this three-week period are:
- Updating your tobacco/nicotine designation
- Enrolling in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for 2022
- Completing the Health Risk Assessment
- Reviewing your life insurance beneficiaries
Employees also have the ability to review their current benefit elections and make changes for 2023.
Since changes are not allowed throughout the year (with the exception of a few Internal Revenue Service-approved life events), it is imperative that all employees log into Firefly and then go into Employee Self Service (ESS), review and/or make desired changes/additions to their current benefits and then carefully review their emailed confirmation statement. The Benefits Office suggests everyone either print or save a copy for their records.
