How I fell in love with infectious diseases: My passion for the field of infectious diseases occurred during my residency training because I found the most challenging cases nearly always involved an infectious diseases physician. The interface of ecology with human disease and how our use of antibiotics changes our surrounding environment fascinates me. I continue to enjoy the ever-changing nature of this field.

  • MD, UNMC
  • Internal Medicine Residency, Indiana University School of Medicine
  • Infectious Diseases Fellowship, UNMC

Memberships:

  • Nebraska Infectious Diseases Society

Three things people may not know about me:

  • I am a Kansas City Chiefs football fanatic.
  • I love reading, in particular history of science (mid-late 19th/early 20th century)
  • I played tenor saxophone in a ska band during high school.
