This is the last week of Annual NuFlex Benefits Enrollment for University of Nebraska faculty and staff. Enrollment began Oct. 31st and will run through 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
Items that need completed annually during this period are:
- Updating your tobacco/nicotine designation
- Enrolling in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for 2022
- Completing the Health Risk Assessment
- Reviewing your life insurance beneficiaries
Employees also have the ability to review their current benefit elections and make changes for 2023.
As a reminder, employees are encouraged to log in and make their elections prior to the last day, because the system may become overloaded.
Since changes are not allowed throughout the calendar year (with the exception of a few Internal Revenue Service-approved life events), it is imperative that all employees log into Firefly and then go into NuFlex Annual Enrollment to review and/or make desired changes/additions to their current benefits. A confirmation statement is available at the bottom of the module so employees can review their 2023 coverage elections. The Benefits Office suggests employees either print or save a copy of their confirmation statement, Health Risk Assessment, and Statement of Health (if applicable) for their records.
