UNMC students are invited to explore rural health systems and learn about career options during a “Rural Road Trip” visit to Norfolk, Nebraska, on Oct. 25.
The trip, which is sponsored by UNMC’s Student Association for Rural Health, Office of Rural Health Initiatives and Northeast Nebraska Growing Together, will include a tour of Midtown Health Center and Faith Regional Health, providing a closer look at living and working in the Norfolk community. Participants also will meet with CONNECT, a leadership organization made up of young professionals from the area.
The group will leave the UNMC Omaha campus at 7:15 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. Transportation is provided, but participants are welcome to drive themselves.
Participants must register by noon on Friday, Oct. 21, for the Oct. 25 trip.
