Annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ moves inside on Oct. 23

The Munroe-Meyer Institute is taking its annual trick-or-treat event inside this year.

Because of the pandemic, MMI had turned to an outdoor trunk-or-treat format for the Halloween celebration.

But on Sunday, Oct. 23, MMI will have trick-or-treat stations spread throughout the first floor of its new home at 6902 Pine St.

Safety at the event is top priority. In addition to treat stations being spaced out, volunteers distributing candy and treats will wear masks and gloves.

Masks are required for visitors. If someone is not feeling well, they are advised to stay home.

The event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Visitors will start at the building’s east entrance.

With questions or to register for a station, email Jackie Hankins-Berry or contact her by phone at 402-552-6364.
