Exchange students spend semester at UNMC

Exchange students attend a Nebraska Cornhusker football game.

This semester, the Omaha Division welcomed four visiting exchange students from the University of Agder (UiA) in Norway. Preben, Arthur, Helene and Mathilde arrived in August and are enrolled as third semester students for the fall 2022 semester. This exchange program is modeled after a UNO and UiA collaboration but is the first of its kind for the College of Nursing and the entire UNMC system.

As part of the exchange, the College of Nursing sent some of its nursing students to spend a good part of the semester in Norway. Before the exchange began, Kati Bravo, PhD, and Jessica Semin, DNP, traveled to Norway for a UiA visit, meetings with administrators, and conversations with faculty and students.

The exchange students got the chance to cheer on the Huskers — although they didn’t bring enough luck with them to change the outcome of the game. To connect with the visiting students, email Amelia Stoltman.
