The Center for Biosecurity, Biopreparedness & Emerging Infectious Diseases at the UNMC College of Public Health will conduct a full-scale training exercise on Friday, Sept. 30, from 7 to 9 a.m.
The exercise will provide participants the opportunity to assess their ability to establish and manage a radiological terrorism mass specimen collection site. The training is being conducted by the CBBEID for the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory and the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The purpose is to set up a learning environment for participants from the institutions to exercise emergency response plans, policies and procedures in response to a mass lab specimen collection scenario.
Please do not be alarmed. This is a planned exercise.
It will take place at the Student Life Center. Participants will be using the southeast entrance, as well as several rooms on the south side of the building.
