E-learning program now accepting applications

E-learning award winners demonstrate their completed work during the annual showcase.

Faculty and students who are interested in developing the next series of e-learning modules are invited to attend an online informational meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15, at noon. Add the event to your calendar.

Program participants identify a topic to incorporate into a course’s curriculum that focuses on challenging or foundational content that would benefit from a more in-depth explanation. Each e-learning team includes two to four students led by faculty and will receive $1,000 for project creation or student stipends, as well as access to e-learning experts, equipment and software. Faculty provide the content expertise, and student participants develop the multimedia that makes the content memorable.

“The collaboration between student developers and faculty members in the e-learning program has been incredibly successful in creating interactive modules that enhance student learning and make content easier to understand,” said Peggy Moore, director of e-learning and assistant professor in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. “We’re excited to launch this year’s e-learning program and help faculty create engaging, accessible materials.”

Each project will be published on the E-Gallery, and participants will be recognized at the E-Learning Showcase in April 2023.

To apply for the upcoming e-learning program, faculty must submit an application by Oct. 14 at 9 a.m. Award winners will be notified before Nov. 2, and projects must be completed by April 3.
