UNMC students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in Chalk the Walk on Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the sidewalks surrounding the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza.
"Chalk the Walk is all about spreading joy, encouragement and inspiration through the magical power of sidewalk chalk," said Kelsey Scroggin, special events and community relations associate with UNMC Strategic Communications. "It’s a simple yet powerful way to bring happiness to campus.
"You never know what a difference your message may make to someone else."
Bring your creativity and share positive messages and images to welcome students and staff to campus — or stop by to read the colorful works of art. Organizers ask that all messages and images be positive and appropriate. Chalk will be provided.
A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
