Danielle Conrad, a candidate to represent District 46 (north Lincoln) in the Nebraska Legislature, recently toured UNMC.
Conrad met with UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, took part in a pediatric cancer update and toured the Davis Global Center to learn about iEXCEL and other initiatives.
"It’s such a thrilling opportunity to get an update on how UNMC is continuing to lead in preserving the health and wellness of our state and our fellow Nebraskans," Conrad said. "It’s inspiring to learn about the ways we are using technology to impact Nebraska by educating our students and improving the way we deliver health care."
Conrad met with Don Coulter, MD, professor of pediatric hematology and oncology; Mark Bowen, director of governmental relations; Anne Bowen Fischer, senior assistant to the chancellor; and Elisabeth Barrett, marketing and production coordinator with iEXCEL. She also met UNMC’s Step-Up Omaha summer interns.
