UNMC leadership, including Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, will be in Kearney Aug. 4 to meet with alumni and preceptors as part of a reception sponsored by the UNMC Alumni Association and Office of Rural Health Initiatives.
The UNMC leadership team will be at the Health Science Education Complex on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus from 5:30-7 p.m. to offer updates and answer questions regarding the future of health science education in Nebraska and beyond.
"Our colleagues in Kearney get to do this all the time, but we always look forward to seeing our friends and alumni from central Nebraska and the surrounding area," Dr. Gold said. "No one is more invested in our mission, and we love to fill in our extended UNMC family on what we are doing, and what is to come. At the same time, we are always seeking new ideas and input as well.
"And of course, we enjoy any opportunity to touch base with our preceptors, who are the lifeblood of our education programs."
The event will include hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Interested parties should RSVP by Monday, Aug. 1, to Bari Marshall at 402-559-4385 or bmarshall@unmc.edu.
