Linda Huynh, a student in the MD-PhD Scholars Program and human of UNMC:
"I was born and raised in California and had never been to the Midwest. I wanted to stay local and coastal.
"Once I got here, it was the camaraderie amongst the MD-PhD program and amongst the medical students that I found to be the most captivating. And that kind of relationship and camaraderie wasn't something I saw at any other medical school. That speaks volumes for me, especially for something so intense as the MD-PhD program or med school.
"I knew that the pure relationships were going to be something that helped me throughout med school, and honestly, today, I don't think that I could say that I would still be in the program if it weren't for those support systems that came with coming to UNMC." #HumansOfUNMC
