The retail Pharmacy at the Durham Outpatient Center will have new hours beginning June 13.
As of that date, the Pharmacy at Durham Outpatient Center will be open as follows:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Weekends and holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (no changes)
Allison Beachler, PharmD, manager of retail pharmacy, said the adjustment will allow Nebraska Medicine to better serve patients at the times that are the busiest.
"We believe this will make the experience even better for patients who come into the Durham Outpatient Center for their medications," she said. "The new hours will allow us to schedule as many pharmacy team members as possible during peak times, when we are the busiest filling prescriptions and serving patients."
There are no changes to hours at the other Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy locations.
Additional services will make it easier to refill and receive prescriptions, in some cases without even leaving home or picking up the phone.
- Auto-refill and text messaging: Prescriptions can be refilled before they run out. Receive a notification when it’s ready to pick up or have it mailed directly to the home. Colleagues who are interested in auto-refill or text messaging services should enroll using this Colleague Pharmacy Services form. Non-employee patients are informed about auto-refill whenever they call, or come to, one of Nebraska Medicine's pharmacy locations.
- 90-day supply: Filling medication with a 90-day supply is convenient and cost effective. With Nebraska Medicine insurance coverage, a 90-day supply of medications can be filled at Nebraska Medicine Pharmacies for the price of a 60-day supply.
- Mail delivery: Nebraska Medicine offers convenient, free shipping on prescriptions filled at its pharmacy locations. On the pharmacy app, choose "Mail to me" or follow the prompts through the call system to notate shipment for your refills.
