UNMC recognized by the National Safety Council-Nebraska Chapter

In May, UNMC was recognized by the National Safety Council-Nebraska Chapter as one of Nebraska’s Safest Companies with Distinction for 13 years.

The recognition was bestowed at the council’s Celebration of Safety, an annual event honoring companies and individuals who make safety a priority. This year a total of 107 companies statewide were honored as Nebraska’s Safest Companies for their dedication to outstanding safety programs. These companies have implemented safety initiatives designed to reduce injuries and save lives.

UNMC has an exemplary safety record that is more than 50% better than national average compared to their industry classification and has implemented comprehensive safety programs. "Winning a Nebraska’s Safest Company Award clearly illustrates a company’s commitment to ensuring that their team members return home safely to their families at the end of each workday. The Celebration of Safety honors the Nebraska organizations that have achieved excellence in safety this past year and we are proud to recognize their achievements in providing a safer Nebraska," said Eric Koeppe, president/CEO, National Safety Council, Nebraska.
