Brown bag focus: ‘Lupus: The Great Imitator’

Jennifer Medlin, MD, assistant professor for the UNMC Division of Rheumatology, will discuss "Lupus: The Great Imitator" at the next Olson Center for Women’s Health Brown Bag Series.

This online presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, from noon to 1 p.m.

Lupus is a chronic disease that can cause inflammation and pain throughout the body. Dr. Medlin will provide a general background of what lupus is, what may cause it, what symptoms may be present and how it is diagnosed. Many photos of classic manifestations of the disease will be provided, and treatment for lupus also will be explored.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women’s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
