There is still time to register an individual or a team for the American Heart Association’s May 14 Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk.
The Heart Walk is the AHA's premier event in the community. This annual event celebrates heart and stroke survivors, promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living and raises funds for research, advocacy and CPR training.
This year's event will be held at Miller’s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road, in Omaha. To help with social distancing, organizations have been given starting walk times. UNMC/Nebraska Medicine teams will have a starting walk time of 9:15 a.m.
As of earlier this week, the UNMC/Nebraska Medicine community had 116 registered walkers, 19 teams and has raised a combined total of $7,809.
