Celebrate Culture! event set for May 3

The Celebrate Culture! event, which is being held in conjunction with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, will be held Tuesday, May 3 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Williams Science Hall's first floor atrium. UNMC faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend.

The first 150 attendees will receive gift bags filled with snacks from East Asian countries.

Interactive tables, representative of these countries, will feature calligraphy, ddakji (a traditional game played using folded paper tiles), lantern making, liusu (tassel) making, origami and trivia.

Celebrate Culture! is coordinated by the UNMC Office of Global Engagement and UNMC Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA).

Co-sponsors include UNMC AAPI Student Organization, CSSA; International Student Association; Office of Global Engagement; an HR-Employee Relations, Organizational Development & Diversity.
