Dodgeball tournament postponed to fall
The Dodgeball Tournament for Heart Disease has been postponed to Sept. 23.
Watch for announcements this summer with details on how to register a dodgeball team. All money raised from the tournament benefits the American Heart Association and its mission to improve heart health and reduce deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Nursing faculty recognized
UNMC nursing faculty were recognized during the recent the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) 2022 Annual Research Conference.
An abstract by UNMC College of Nursing student Morgan Staver, PhD, and co-author Tiffany Moore, PhD, titled, “The Role of Maternal Adverse Childhood Experiences,” was selected as a distinguished abstract from among all abstracts submitted for a poster discussion presentation. The abstract was among 13 selected as distinguished abstracts for the conference.
Windy Alonso, PhD, was recognized with the New Investigator Award from the Symptom Science Research and Implementation Interest Group.
Amy Jude Hoffman, PhD, was elected as vice president of the MNRS from 2022-2024.
Food trucks on campus
Food trucks will be on campus the week of April 25-29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in two spots on campus.

On Friday, April 29, two food trucks are offering free food for students as part of De-Stress Week: Street Eats at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza and Zemogs near the Durham Research towers. Street Eats is sponsored by the UNMC Student Senate, and Zemogs is sponsored by the McGoogan Health Sciences Library. Faculty and staff may purchase food from either food truck.
