Holi is a Hindu spring festival, celebrated in India and internationally, symbolizing rejuvenation and optimism.

Dozens of people from around the UNMC community came out Saturday, April 9, to celebrate the Holi Festival of Colors on the green space of the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza. The event was sponsored by UNMC's International Student Association and the Office of Global Engagement

Here is a look at the burst of color.

Holi is known as the "Festival of Colors" or "Festival of Love" and celebrates the arrival of spring after winter.
People celebrate Holi by throwing colored powder into the air.
