In lieu of the annual in-person Innovators in Education E-Learning Showcase, the Office of Interactive E-Learning will celebrate the success of its latest cohort with a digital showcase in Canvas. The Canvas course allows individuals to view the new modules and leave messages for the project developers.

2022 E-Learning Showcase Canvas Course
"The Canvas course offers an excellent mechanism for students and faculty to receive the positive feedback and interaction they typically get during the in-person event, while allowing the entire UNMC community to view the modules at a time that fits into their schedules," said Peggy Moore, director of UNMC e-learning and assistant professor in UNMC College of Allied Health Professions.
Like last year, viewers will be able to vote for the top module, and winners will receive special recognition for their extraordinary accomplishments, Moore said.
The course opens on Wednesday, April 13, and voting for the top modules closes on Sunday, April 17. To enroll, sign in to the Canvas course.
The projects cover a variety of topics across multiple disciplines, some with a special focus on diversity and inclusion, such as creating a welcoming health care environment for the transgender and gender expansive community, creating a welcoming environment for the hearing impaired and diagnosing skin conditions on different skin colors.
"We met with the teams regularly to discuss ways to take their projects to the next level," said Steph Langel, instructional designer in UNMC e-learning. "Students were able to take advantage of the E-Learning Lab equipment, as well as our animation software, which brought an extra level of engagement to the final products."
The course and showcase booklet highlighting the faculty and student developers can be accessed on the e-learning website. If you have any questions or are having problems accessing the showcase Canvas course, email the Office of Interactive E-Learning.
