Center for Healthy Living holding open house events

The Center for Healthy Living (CFHL) is hosting a series of open house events beginning today and running through Friday, including free use of fitness facilities, free fitness classes, facility tours and giveaways.

The CFHL is located in the Student Life Center and offers a variety of activities and services that encourage wellness among faculty, staff and students. Memberships, intramural sports, special events and fitness classes are available to all UNMC, University of Nebraska at Omaha and Nebraska Medicine faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, volunteers, contracted employees and affiliated organizations. Additional information on membership is available on the CFHL website.

“We want the med center community to engage with the Center for Healthy Living as a wellness resource,” said Andrea Swett, interim director of the center. “Movement and physical activity can be a great method of self-care, and our facilities are available for members to schedule their workouts at times that work best for them right here on the Omaha campus.”
