Sidewalks closing around former MMI building

Access around the former MMI building will be shifted to the 44th Street side of the building.

Work continues to prepare for the eventual demolition of the former Munroe-Meyer Institute building.

The latest step will begin with installation of fencing so that underground utility work can occur. This will affect the sidewalks that surround the building.

The sidewalks that are being closed are highlighted in the map below. Please note that the diagonal sidewalk from Saddle Creek Road will remain open until the end of April. Both of these sections of the sidewalk are being permanently removed. Pedestrian traffic from Saddle Creek will be rerouted to either Farnam Street or Emile Street for those walking east.

Normal access around the former MMI building will be shifted to the 44th Street side of the building.
