The fourth of five finalists for the role of UNMC vice chancellor for business, finance and business development, David McCaskill, will be on campus today.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to hear from McCaskill and ask questions during a campus forum from noon to 12:45 p.m. Attendees can access the Zoom link via this intranet page.
McCaskill is the former chief financial officer of Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. In that role, McCaskill was responsible for all aspects of financial management, human capital management and contracting, and he served on the organization’s board of directors. Earlier, he served as chief financial officer and director of business operation for Womack Army Medical Center. He is a 26-year Army veteran with more than 22 years experience specializing in finance, strategic planning, change management, health network optimization and program management.
In addition to McCaskill, finalists include:
- Bryson Palmer, assistant vice president of operations for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (member of RWJ Barnabas Health System), who visited March 10.
- Anne Barnes, senior associate dean for administration and finance at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, who visited March 14.
- Susan Kraft Mann, interim vice chancellor for business, finance and business development and assistant vice chancellor and director of the office of budget and fiscal analysis at UNMC, who visited March 22.
- Mike Ebbs, associate vice chancellor of finance at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, who will visit Tuesday, March 29, with a campus forum from noon to 12:45 p.m.
