Isha Snehal, MBBS, resident physician in the department of neurological sciences and human of UNMC:

“I went to medical school at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. I was drawn to neurology and wanted to explore more academic and international frontiers. After taking the licensing exams to train in the U.S., I heard about UNMC from some phenomenal neurologist friends and soon applied.

"During my interview, the residents and faculty were friendly and welcoming. Soon after, I matched at UNMC, and the training has been a steep learning curve as a clinician. I've had several opportunities to be academically successful. Everyone here wants you to excel. The best thing about my program and UNMC is the freedom and ability to choose from all the tools we need as residents to help mold our careers into what we want.

"In this field, I have learned to be grateful for my health because the neurological diseases we treat can be debilitating and demanding on patients. I've also learned how to communicate while coordinating care and work with a team to efficiently reach time-sensitive goals, which is extremely important moving forward in our careers.” #HumansOfUNMC
