UNMC’s web governance policy is now available on the policy wiki.
The policy was developed as part of the unmc.edu redesign project, in conjunction with design partner mStoner. The policy covers all online content representing the work of UNMC and its faculty and staff.
"Our primary website presents UNMC’s vision, values and work to the world," said Bill O’Neill, executive director of strategic communications. "Web governance is a critical part of maintaining quality and consistency across unmc.edu and all related sites."
Input was provided by web content developers and others across UNMC as the policy was developed and reviewed.
Web governance policies are common across universities and academic medical centers, and the UNMC policy incorporates many longstanding practices and procedures.
Refer to the policy for information about roles and responsibilities, web governing and advisory boards, web standards and more.
