Abraham Killanin, a graduate research assistant in pharmacology/experimental neuroscience and human of UNMC:
"A lot of people would ask me why do an MD/PhD? And not just do an MD or a PhD? I think for me the question was 1. how can I make the biggest impact in my world and the community I live in? 2. where can I find the most fulfillment and where do those two meet? I’m naturally drawn to kids, their environments, and how that affects the relationship between their mental health and future success, especially in communities of color. I wanted to be able to show up for them and help close that gap." #HumansOfUNMC
